Facebook Fanbox Pro Documentation
Facebook Fanbox Pro is a Joomla 1.5 module that displays Facebook Fanbox in Joomla websites.

Installation

Module installs like any other normal Joomla module from backend of Joomla under Extensions Install/Uninstall.

What Do I Need to Know?

Before you add a Fan Box to your website, you need the following:
• A website, and the ability to install modules on website
• A basic understanding of how to install and configure Joomla 1.5 modules
• A Facebook Page that promotes your website (you must be an admin of the Page)
• Facebook API Key and
Styling does not take effect if you have installed Fanbox on your local host test servers. You need to install it on actual live website.
Also make sure to hard refresh page (Control+F5) to refresh page and also try cleaning cache to see changes taking effect.
If you have installed and enabled JavaScriptSDK plugin then you need to set Connect Script Settings to No. If you are using JavaScriptSDK plugin then make sure to set Enable Connect Script to No.

Configuration:

Module has following parameters
API Key:
Page ID:		 You can obtain Facebook API key and Page ID by following the following method:

Note: You do not need to copy anything else!

To create an Application and get API Key please read How to create a Facebook Application.

Page ID can also be obtained from you Facebook Page URL. e.g. My Page ID is highted below:

Customized Facebook Profile URL
If you have customised Facebook Page URL then your ID will not show in URL and your URL will be like http://www.facebook.com/USER_NAME instead.

To find your Facebook Page ID from a Customised URL simply click on your profile picture and it will take you to your profile pictures. On profile pictures area you will see your Facebook Page ID in browser address bar.
Enable Connect Script: Enable this if you are not using any other module or code which uses connect script.


Rendering Mode:
 Select how to render Fanbox. IFrame works in most of the browsers.


Number if fans: Select how many pictures of your facebook friends you want to show
Language:
 Select Language you want the Fanbox to appear
Width: Sets width of Fanbox
Height: Sets height of Fanbox.
Use Custom CSS:
 Enable or disable custom CSS styles. If you disable thi soption default Facebook styles will be used.
Font Family: Select if you want to use a different font style. Leave Default if you want your website fonts to use.
Bordor Colour: Select border colour to display around the Fanbox.
Top Background Colour: This is the background colour that display in top area of Fanbox, behind your image and Button.
Top Text Colour: Text colour for the text appearing in Top area.
Top Link Text Colour: Hypelink colour for the links appearing in Top area.
Include Streams: Enable/disable Streams. Streams are the posts you make on Facebook page.
Stream Height: Height for Streams area
Show Scroll Bars: Show or hide scroll bars
Stream Background Colour:
 Background colour for streams area
Stream Text Colour: Choose colour for the text in streams area
Stream Link Text Colour: Choose colour for hyperlink text in streams area
Dislay Stream Name: Displ;ay or hide your names next to streams
Display Stream Date: Display or hide dates below streams
Stream Date Text Colour: Text colour for the stream dates
Stream Separator: Colour for stream post separator line


Connections Background Colour:
 Background colour for connections area
Connections Text Colour:
 Text colour for the text in connections area
Connections Border Colour:
 Border colour to display around your fans images.

Link to Page: Enable to display a link to your Facebok page
Page Name: Enter text that you want to show as a clickable link
Link: Actual URL link of your facebook page or any other page
Target: Select New Window if you want the link to open in new window or Parent window if you want the user to stay on same page
Text after name: Enter text to display after Page name text. (Not clickable)


Unique ID: Give each module a unique id if you are using more then one module on your website for separate styling
Time Stamp: Ignore this field and do not try to change
Debug: Used for denugging purpose
Module Class Suffix: Use this field to apply module class suffix
Caching: Enable/Disable cashing for the module
Cache Time: Time after the module should be re-chached.
